Thomas W. Lord

 

Tom Lord is an accomplished Human Resources Executive with over 25 years of experience and a vast global network of contacts within transportation /logistics. His expertise spans various industry sectors with international and domestic accountability, including marine transportation, logistics, oil & gas, and supply chain. By leveraging his business leadership and industry knowledge, Tom recruits professionals across all functions, including C-suite, and various senior roles in operations, marketing, sales, finance, HSE and risk management.

With a keen eye for talent, in-depth understanding of transportation/logistics, and a reputation for delivering on commitments, Tom led a successful management consulting and executive search practice.

Tom’s prior career is one of progressively impactful leadership roles in human resources, operations, regulatory compliance and safety. Those successes were achieved in major oil & gas, and in international transportation/logistics companies such as Hapag-Lloyd, US Shipping, Amerada Hess, Sea-Land Service, and Puerto Rico Marine Management. Tom began his career with Morgan Towing Corporation, a leading provider of marine towing and transportation services.

Tom has been a trusted advisor and strategic partner to various businesses. By implementing leading edge recruitment and talent management strategies to attract and retain top talent, he has helped companies achieve their overall objectives.

A graduate of Maine Maritime Academy, Tom also earned his Master’s degree in Business Administration from Pfeiffer University. He is a Board Member of International Employers Forum and has been active in numerous professional organizations including the Greater Philadelphia Senior Executive Group, Philadelphia Human Resources Planning Society, Society for Human Resources Management, and the Containerized Shipping Industry Executive Human Resources group.
